The Southernmost Tip
Today we packed up and departed Mourão, saying goodbye to Daveen and Mike’s homestead and two cats. Drove south for a few hours and dropped Jeanette and Savannah off in Lagos for their chosen few days on the beach.
Then Daveen once again discovered a nice little place for us to stay nearby at Sagres, a beach town on the southernmost tip of Portugal, which seems to be largely populated by surfers. What a relief for Mike to not have to worry about juggling the demands of the A/C and trying to keep the place at a bearable temperature in this excessive heat.
We enjoyed a walk on the sandy beach and I actually dipped my feet in the Atlantic - delightful!
