A Proper Beach(es) Day

On our drive up to Lisbon we more or less followed a walking trail, considered one of the best coastal trails in the world, Fishermen's Trail

We stopped at Odeceixe, a lovely safe beach, where we had a drink and an ice cream sitting next to a mural of a Donkey.

This photo is of another beach called Vila Nova de Milfontes, where we had lunch at a beach hut - “A Choupana” (the Shack). We ate fresh Mackerel with boiled potatoes or chips and salad.
After a stroll along the sand beach, Daveen and I went in for a refreshing swim in the Atlantic Ocean

Overnight we stayed at Alcochete, just across the Tagus River from Lisbon to make it easier to get to the airport tomorrow.
