Ruby bouquet
Firstly, thank you for your kind comments yesterday….always appreciated and I’m at fault for never saying thank you enough.
We had a planned weekend and Mr C agreed to continue with those plans but we told all that we wouldn’t be up for talking about Ruby yet.
We had been invited for lunch by J&S , whose son got married last week. There was also another couple there who we’ve met many times and are equally good company. J surpassed herself by putting on a wonderful spread. A small antipasti (nibbles) with a special gin cocktail. We had a beetroot gazpacho to start followed by bbq steak, pork belly and salmon with home grown green bean and pak Choi salad, roast potatoes. Also hats off to S for bbqing them perfectly. Homemade panna cotta with berries and pistachio and lastly, a cheese board. Very spoilt and it was special to share and enjoy their anniversary meal.
When we arrived home there were two most beautiful bouquets . One addressed to me and one to Mr C. Puzzled I opened my little envelope first and it was a ‘thinking of you’ from the teacher I work with. The other to Mr C was from the vets. That set Mr C off again. So kind and thoughtful. I sent a message of thanks to my teacher and she replied the following morning to say she chose that bouquet as it was called Ruby. Gulp!
