Hot!!

I was just wondering what to blip to convey today’s overwhelming heat when these pictures of Jude arrived via What's app.

They’ve been down to Sheption Mallet Lido a few times usually during the school holidays but today Jude got to enjoy one of her last free ‘Jude days’ with mummy before she starts school in September. 

We’ve been singing this morning and with an errand to do we forego the shopping as although it would have been cool we really just couldn’t be bothered! Sad news this morning as one of our Monday group singers died unexpectedly last week. We had heard but after a verbal tribute to this lady we sang ‘Make your own kind of music’ in her memory.

Not doing much now, Wimbledon on the TV with the very distinctive sound of volleys. It’s apparently the hottest start to the competition on record. Last years champion Alcaraz is currently struggling to hold the second set.
We have the window open and can hear next doors’s youngsters enjoying the paddling pool in their garden. The sounds of summer.

A blisteringly hot end to June, a bit too hot but I shouldn’t say that as of course it’s not going to last and the discussion at singing was if the set we were practising for this Saturday’s gig would have to be rescheduled inside due to forecast rain!
