Perspective

I think it is fair to say that I was feeling a little bit low this morning.

A big bag of big chocolate buttons was probably not the best idea so close to bedtime, but I guzzled a load whilst watching The Prodigy’s set at Glastonbury. It looked amazing and I would imagine that quite a few ears will be ringing for a good many days to come for those who were actually there.

Pottered about a bit this morning and spoke to family, friends and colleagues who called to check in, but feeling restless I dusted off my running gear and headed off on a Forrest Gumpian run (just under 8k). I thought I got sweaty on my trips to 5aside football, but it paled into comparison to the sweat dripping out of every pore after this run!

I did take a few moments to stop and smell (and photograph) the flowers. Once I’d cooled and calmed down from the exertions, I must say that I felt much better for it. Tired, definitely. But better: absolutely!

Work was a little frustrating as our systems were down this afternoon, so not a lot got done, but it gave me a chance to get back on top of some admin for the children.

Now time to sort tea before dad’s taxi ride to and from cricket training.

No rest for the wicked, but on the plus side: good bye, June!

It's been a helluva month.....
