Nearly Home

Margaret's funeral this morning, and a glorious day for it. Loughborough Crematorium is the nicest one I've been too. The celebrant was excellent, she hadn't met M but she'd clearly paid close attention while gathering material from the family ( mostly, there was just one place where I though I heard a protest ...). Afterwards we all repaired to her local for a lovely salad lunch. She had only lived in Woodhouse Eaves for a few years but was very well-settled - not easy to do when you move at 89.

We came straight home afterwards. Stopped as we crossed the Carter Bar for a shot looking backwards towards Northumberland, and another facing down the hill towards home.
