Community Farm
The initial scoping meeting to gauge interest in starting a community farm in the village. To go with our community woods. It transpires that the community owns 100 acres of common land. Currently rented out to a local farmer. Which could be used to create a community farm. Although the only other one in this part of Scotland is 2 acres with aspirations to eventually get to 6 acres, so 100 is probably too much towards the Worthy Farm end of things. Anyhow, it was interesting stuff and I learned lots, especially from the guy who lives in the village and who sets up community gardens all over the place, the Wester Hailes gardens sound like a great model.
Apart from that I pushed the lengths at the pool up to 30. Which was probably ill advised. And led to my subdued performance at the meeting this evening.
