A Welcome Day of Virtually Nothing
Today was one of those days when you do the mundane and the ordinary. Saw LV briefly before he headed out to work then took a stroll to the nearby Sainsbury’s to purchase the paper, some kefir, bread and sandwich stuff for the day. When I got back I put LV’s bedding in the wash from the Black Knight and had a short WhatsApp with L before making breakfast and settling down to BG work which included the bi-weekly payroll. After I had recovered from the massive number that is about to exit our bank account, I comforted myself in the knowledge that we are supporting the local economy for 30 people.
The afternoon was spent watching some tennis and reading the paper until LV came back and cooked a lovely dinner of duck breast in a mushroom sauce. We completed the crossword yet again and retired after packing away the washed bedding - which I have pictured here hanging on the makeshift washing line - I know, my photo can’t compete with the marvellous captures I see all over blip but this washing line is a fitting nondescript view of my day for which I am truly grateful.
