Roses

This rose bush was in the garden when I started working on the property 10 years ago. I am not sure what kind it is, other than it is a happy rose. It is growing beside a weeping flowering crabapple tree, and it is at least 8 feet high. The rose can be seen over top of the tree. The homeowner had to put a rope around it and tie it upright so it didn't take over the neighbor's driveway. It will have blooms on it from now until frost kills it.

Road trip tomorrow with a friend. It is Canada Day, and it is usually my first full day off in 2 months, so I plan a road trip with my camera. I will pick a direction in the morning.

I need a better camera to keep at my desk. The SX50 is not fast enough to focus on birds that don't sit still for very long. I had a gray catbird land on the deck this morning (no photo) and the red eyed vireos were in the maple tree close to the deck this afternoon. Again, I could not get the camera focused fast enough to get a photo.
