Prunella vulgaris

Found on the edge of the reserve this morning, it's a wildflower I've always been fond of so here it is for WFW25_13.

From this week I'm taking back the hosting of WildFlowerWeek from ApolloFly and Nicoiseannie who so kindly - and so efficiently - hosted the challenges in June.  I'm sure we all thank you both enormously.

Today seems to have been the hottest yet.  I tried to have my walk early (though not early enough apparently), I tried to dead-head the roses (disaster), I tried to read indoors (the words blurred like melting icecream) and I've drunk gallons of water and herbal tea, which both instantly seem to leak out of my skin again.  Oh dear!!  A cold shower seems the only remedy..
