Grow For Me

At the end of last year, this Buddleia was cut back to only a couple of feet high. And it remained that height until spring. As soon as we got a bit of sunshine and warm weather though it started growing. And kept growing.
It’s now up to the level of the eaves (not as bad as it sounds, we live in a bungalow) and I have no idea how much higher it might go. But the purple flowers have only appeared in the last week, so perhaps it’s entering a different phase and won’t get too much taller.
Let’s hope all this luxuriant growth attracts large numbers of butterflies and other pollinators…
