Simmering...

...sizzling summer's day, the hottest day of 2025 so far.

It was a day to read in the cool. I am loving Syliva Townsend Warner's "The Corner That Held Them" (recommended by other blippers) and which has me laughing out loud. It's historical fiction, re-creating a world in medieval Norfolk run by women!

And isn't it a delight to be able to watch such wonderful tennis at Wimbledon from the comfort of one's lounge. The TV cameras show spectators maddly fanning themselves! Quite a tough ordeal for the players too.
