Butterfly
Cabbage white butterflies have quite a bit of green in their wings. I’d seen dozens of insects landing on the verbena in the garden, so I pulled up a chair, got my camera ready and I waited. And waited. And waited. Finally, after about half an hour, a butterfly landed. I zoomed in, pressed the shutter button and… “CHANGE BATTERY PACK!”
I put a new battery in and tried again. It got windier and windier. A perfect afternoon for drying washing, but not so much for photographing butterflies. This was about the best I could do under the circumstances.
