Much cooler
We went for a walk along the canal before it got too hot, and mostly shaded. Some massive barges and a lock like no other I have ever seen. By the time we lift site it was 32c and when we stopped for lunch it was 34. It then started to cool and by the time we got to Calais it was 18. We stopped for shopping and got wet.
Early evening walk along the sea front was so refreshing and it seemed a little strange to see people wearing coats, it was still 18c so not cold.
Pasta for dinner to use up cheese before emptying the fridge of fresh dairy and veg before returning to UK tomorrow.
Such a shame we can’t take cheese back as we have enjoyed some excellent ones over here. Few bottles of wine, some beer and bottle of port packed away but we are well below our limit.
