Bienvenue!

We had a fairly relaxed start to the day, including a good breakfast at L'Aquarium, and then began our epic journey south.

As the hours went by, we were entertained in part by watching the thermometer in the car. For a while, it was 40.5 degrees outside. Thank heavens for the car's air conditioning!

We arrived early evening, stopping at a nearby supermarket to buy bits and pieces for dinner, before proceeding on to the house. 

Today's Blip is the part of the garden that greets you as you come through the gate to the beautiful old house. 

The host's mother was there to greet us, and although her English was as good as my French, it was enough to see us through. 

After such a long day in the car and with the lingering heat in the day, it was a relief to take a swim in the pool, after which we enjoyed bread, cheese, meat, pâté, beer, and wine :-)
