Summer garden bouquet
After our guests left yesterday, I moved the posies of flowers from their bedrooms and bathroom to new locations so that Mr hazelh and I can enjoy them. This white and orange arrangement plonking has transferred from the bathroom shelf to the hall.
There is some encouraging news on the Mummy hazelh front: our second choice new care home still has the vacancy that we learnt about last week. By now the manager should have completed a care needs assessment for Mummy hazelh. Tomorrow we will find out if his home can accommodate her.
I had a lovely morning - first with Ali as we walked to coffee together, and then with Jennifer and Marian when they joined us in the café after the aquafit class. (I missed this due to the remnants of my illness.)
This afternoon was quite productive in that we dropped off four kitchen chairs to be refettled at the men's repair shed in Granton, and I contacted a picture restorer to see if he can clean up one of the C19th oil paintings that we have acquired from my mother's house. I also caught up on admin, planned my trip to Newcastle tomorrow, and made a roasted red onion and haricot bean bake for our supper.
This evening we will return to Game of thrones (and not Dr Zhivago!)
Exercise today: walking (~12k steps).
