Wet wood

The temperature started dropping last night.  Our 6am morning dog walk was warm enough to be sleeveless but certainly more comfortable than the past few days.   

The road was damp but there weren't any puddles about. 

Quick market shop after breakfast.  Walked back home on the boardwalk.  Was very lucky to see a pair of grey wagtails fly across the river and land at arms length in front of me!  Not wanting to frighten them I didn't get my phone out to blip them and I waz holding my bicycle.  It's the first time I've seen grey wagtails.  I've seen pied wagtails a few times.

Back home to do sorting.  Put most of my bird feeding silos in a large former bird food plastic lidded container.   

Readeasy student in the afternoon.

Lazy baked potatoes for dinner.

Should sleep more comfortably tonight. 

My cousin Lucia sent a WhatsApp message about the heat in Salerno.  I looked up the BBC weather forecast for Salerno.  It stated the actual temperature for today was 31°C but feeling 41°C, 10°C warmer and with high humidity.  Luckily their buildings and homes are better able to cope with heat than UK homes.
