degrees. We spent the day inside because of the heat. My boss bought ice cream for us all which was a much appreciated gesture. I supported with English in a meeting and moved slowly. The heat when I stepped outside was overwhelming. It radiated up from the pavement. Each bit of the street which was surrounded by trees felt cooler and I was grateful for every single tree. I feel very privileged to be able to work inside. My thoughts are with the wilt bike riders, bin lorry teams, gardeners, postie's, delivery drivers and emergency teams (not an exhaustive list) who have to cope with all weather conditions while also being somewhat invisible. 

The coolness in the stair when I got back was like a cool welcome home. 

This space is used for wee exhibitions. In case the writing is unclear, it says "today I feel cold inside".  It made me smile on the hottest day of the year.
