Self-heal
Prunella vulgaris, an enthusiastic wildflower in the urban meadow (front garden). The meadow has had its first cut though there are still clumps of birds foot trefoil which the bees love. In the mown patches there will be a second flush of flowers within a couple of weeks. Many thanks to Miranda who has resumed hosting the wildflower challenge.
I was so tired when I arrived home from Berwick yesterday that I went almost straight to bed. It's ridiculous but it was pointless to try to stay awake. So glad I went though and I had a great day. The girls were full of fun.
It's quite wet again this morning. No garden watering required. I'm off to meet a friend for coffee but unless things change not for a lengthy walk. This evening I'm going out with a friend, someone I've known for nearly 30 years who has recently moved into the same street as me. There's so much to catch up on.
