This is Umetani-san. Twenty years ago we hired him to decorate our flat. Since then, we have always hired him whenever extensive redecorating is required; D.I.Y. is not very popular in Japan. When we first hired him, he did all the work himself; now he is the owner of his own reform business and he employs people to do the physical work while he supervises. We can always trust him to do great work. Today, we had a new toilet fitted along with fresh wallpaper, ceiling paper, flooring, towel hanger and toilet paper dispenser.

In the afternoon, I went to watch F-1 at the cinema. It was great. Well, I mean, how can you possibly go wrong with Brad Pitt, a Hans Zimmer soundtrack and 300+ kmph racing cars?

Noting Mr. Werheimer's comment about enlightenment, I wondered if Islam includes the concept of enlightenment as, so far as I was aware, it did not. Actually, it does, but enlightenment is achieved through a seperate branch of Islam called Suffism. Brad Pitt's character attains a transcendent state while driving in F-1, and I am sure you will agree that occasionally a bowel movement can induce a state approaching parinirvana, but only, I'm sure, if the toilet is hygienic and aesthetically pleasing enough.

By the way, it's possible that the Anunnaki are on their way to save mankind from self-destruction, but I feel that this journal entry has gone off in so many directions that I should save the Anunnaki thing for tomorrow. However, if they have already landed, I just want to make sure that I was the first person on Blipfoto to announce it.
