Map Of The World
Waiting for Mrs C in the Parish Church car park, I thought I’d take a closer look at the wooden sculpture that went up outside the church last year. It was commissioned by the Environment Agency and Kendal Parish Church as part of the Flood Relief Scheme. Fittingly, it is carved from an old oak tree that came down in Storm Arwen. It is a representation of an early 17th Century John Speed town map of Kendal (or Kendale as he called it) and is a lovely piece of work.
Last performance of the radio play tonight. It’s gone down really well with our audiences and has been most enjoyable to perform. Really hoping I can do more productions at Staveley in the future.
