EBBB
(Emergency Buddleia Butterfly Blip)
After another almost sleepless night, with tropical temperatures, strong winds howling around the house, distant thunder, but not a single drop of rain, it finally got cooler at around 6 am.
We were both feeling exhausted, but soon got up to work. I also went grocery shopping, and visited my mother. The recent hot days have been hard for her, even though her house (near a forest in the Taunus hills) doesn’t heat up quite as much as ours in the Rhine valley.
When I drove home, I really felt the difference between the hills (22°C) and the valley (28°C).
The buddleia bush has almost finished flowering already, but it still attracts plenty of butterflies - mostly peacocks.
