What The................???
We were asked to feed Bags' cats this morning as their good neighbour who has been doing the job while Bags & Co have been on holiday was unable to do it this morning.
When we went in we found that the cats had somehow got hold of 6 packs of food. The had consumed the contents of (and most of the wrapping) of two packs in the kitchen. I found the other 4 packs at the top of the stairs.
After cleaning that up we headed off to the Western General so that I could drink a jug of water, pee in a container and have an ultrasound done of my bladder.
The trip to the outskirts of Edinburgh was no problem and fairly quick.
As soon as we came off the by-pass at Maybury it ground to a crawl.
Luckily we had expected that had left sufficient time to get there, try and find a parking space at the hospital and if that failed then go elsewhere to find somewhere.
Of course, there was a queue waiting on the ramp to the car park upper deck. However, I thought I could see a spot on the ground level. There were several -- so we ended up in the cage.
The staff in the Urology Dept still claim that St Johns Hospital (5 minutes from home) don't have the equipment to do the procedure despite having a Urology Dept. and actually doing operations & procedures there.
Just another example of complete inefficiency in the management of patients......one which I will have to repeat next year apparently.
After that we had to fight our way through town to Straiton to buy a couple of items and some fuel.
What an absolute disaster the roads are. I am assuming that the Council have completely stopped doing any kind of repairs.
