I've known Matt (Palmer) for years and I'm more than aware of the length of time it took for him to make his debut feature film 'Calibre'. It came out in 2018 and got picked up by Netflix...I think the favourable tweet he got from Stephen King shortly afterwards was worth a thousand press reviews as well! He's since made 'Fear Street: Prom Queen' for Netflix and that got released just a few months ago.

Filmhouse were showing both films tonight and we went along to see the first of them, so nice to see 'Calibre' on the big screen again, and in the newly-refurbished auditorium too of course.

Had a lovely chat with Matt beforehand and then his partner grabbed me in the foyer afterwards so I got to have a good natter with her too. Great to catch-up with them.

Earlier in the day there'd been a big swim first thing and then plenty of sofa time with coffee and book following that.
