Day 31

A cell with a view was not how James 'Biscuit' Travis would have described his prison hole, but it did have a window from which he could see a non descript wall but also if he squeezed up real close to the pane he could see the sky. Biscuit knew that if the judge, Chester McKee knew of this over pouring of generosity then he would most Iikely have come down the prison himself to have him violently moved to another less hospitable room. Thing was there was no chance of Chester ever coming to any prison save for a hanging and that had mercifully been outlawed since 1964 so Biscuit considered himself safe from any visit from the court fixer.

Ar last the life sentence was gradually beginning to burn itself on Biscuit 's brain like an actual brandish but he was still hopeful that one day the truth would arise and justice would set him free. Justice! He laughed at himself for even considering the word existed.

Takes a lot to keep the spirits of a broken man up but at this point this jailbird refused to be broken. Rather his spirits remained high, his soul ready to fly into that sky he could just see and live the life that had been so cruelly stolen from him for a crime he had never committed.
