Everyday Life

This is apparently a milestone Blip. I've been Blipping now for twelve years, (give or take since Blip doesn't get the concept of leap years) which is possibly the longest I have ever stuck at anything. I wonder if I get a different coloured camera now...

It's not been a typical day as today I met my old school friend, Gillian, along with her husband Jim. We had coffee in Waterstones' cafe and a good chat and catch up. She's not changed a great deal, still down to Earth and easy to get along with. She's now retired from the kind of serious, important and responsible job that I could not have done in my wildest dreams, and enjoying life in her home in the rural Scottish borders. We had a good chat about the old days and our lives since, which was fun! Lots to catch up on after so long.

After they went I had a little wander round town, trying to find something to Blip that was suitable to be a landmark photo. (I'm hoping this shot of a family of swans will come out OK as it was slim pickings in town today.) I bought some books and cropped trousers in a charity shop and came home!
