The End Of A Chapter
The day has finally come for Little Man to leave nursery and move up to primary school. The end of a chapter in my boy's life. Before we left for nursery, I got a photo of Little Man with this board and when we got to nursery, with the gifts for his classmates, I got another photo of Little Man and his teachers. I left him in their capable hands. He had a lovely time with them.
While Little Man was away, I biked to Gouda to collect my new glasses. My old glasses were very heavy due to the thick lenses (you can see in the third extra photo), and wouldn't stay on my nose, so I got a new pair of regular glasses and a pair of prescription sunglasses. I'm light sensitive and tend to struggle with the summer light, especially when there isn't any cloud coverage. I also picked up a few things from some of the shops in Gouda, for our time away. I got a photo of the town hall as I walked past (see the first extra photo).
I collected Little Man from nursery, and dropped the house keys with one of my friends from church who isn't going to the conference on the Isle of Man. She and one of the other ladies are going to take it in turns to water the plants for me whilst we're gone. She invited me to the sand play ground so we spent a few hours together with a few other mums. We had a lovely time together, talking, whilst our boys played (there were six boys between the ages of two and four). We were there for about two hours. Little Man had a lot of fun (see the second extra photo).
We came home and have had a lovely time relaxing and finishing off the packing. Its almost done, but I have a few things that need to go into the suitcase. So the suitcase is sitting in the corner of the kitchen, open. I'm not expecting much to happen over the rest of the day, so I'm posting this now.
