Hummingbird Hawk Moth

I was meeting H for a walk at 9:30 at Felbrigg. Arriving slightly early, I was looking for a photo and spotted several hummingbird hawk moths on the lavender. I took lots of photos, but they were so fast I only had two in focus. I might revisit next week. A lady from the National Trust said they’d been watching them for the last two days. A lovely walk through the woods and round the lake, then we stopped at the church which was having a flower festival and was selling a cuppa and some home made cakes - delicious. This afternoon I thoroughly enjoyed watching Sonay Kartal’s fabulous win after a nervy start. Then I sat out reading. A lovely sunny and warm day, but with a strong wind.
