Happy 4th

Nothing says summer like an orange day lily! • A quiet 4th of July but an enjoyable one. We planted up the zinnias, plus two tomato plants. Tomorrow we’ll plant the rest of our purchases • A beautiful day with cool breezes and occasional sunshine. There could be a stray shower later but not enough to spoil planned firework displays • Burgers, spiked lemonade and a strawberry shortcake, without the cake, on tonight’s menu :) • Next year will be our country’s 250th birthday. Too bad we’ll be celebrating under this administration • Freedom, Liberty, Democracy, Independence, Equality, Pursuit of Happiness, a Nation of Immigrants - this is the country I Know and Love
