Golden Grasses

A warm but enjoyable summer day. After planting up the swallowtail box with fennel and flowers, we filled the deck container with begonias, then added a Joe Pye weed to the back garden. All the new plants are in! • We went for a leisurely walk at the river along the boardwalk spotting several jumping sturgeon and splashing mallards; several eagles and cormorants flew by too but the best of all was watching a blue heron land and skulk about thick marshy grasses • A few goldfinches explored the tall grass along our property line for seeds and things • Cheering on England vs France • Peace & Love
