Chillling

We have been to the dordogne many times and still love it. We explored new parts of France on the way here and now are relaxing in an area we know well.

We decided on an easy day so walked into Castelnaud along the river bank for an ice cream sundae. (It was worth the walk) . The river is usually a gentle mix of canoes, gabarres and the occasional swimmer. Today a jet ski roared past us and we were horrified. Not what we expected at all. However when we got to the ‘beach’ near the bridge we discovered the wonderful French Firefighters were having a training exercise, and the jet ski was a fire service one! All was forgiven.

We had a lovely - hot - walk and then spent some time in the pool cooling down. Very nice having a relax. It almost feels like we are on holiday.
