International blip meet.
We headed into sarlat today for the market only to find we seemed to have happened across another ‘medieval’ festival. Lots of interesting stalls, stone masonry, knife sharpening , walnut oil pressing etc all done the traditional way. Most of the stall holders and many of the physical shop owners were dressed in peasant clothing , or adorned with the red cravats with sarlat’s emblem.
It was then I spotted Blipper BakerJean who I have followed for several years. I introduced myself and Mr H and then had a wonderful conversation and sampled the delights of his absolutely superb boulongerie.
I was amazed when he remembered that I loved pistachio croissant - a comment I made during Covid when I said we were missing having our time in France.
It felt like we had always known one another and we are meeting again later in the week. I was so pleased when he said it had made his day. What a wonderful place Blip is.
