Over the Alps

Not a very exciting shot today, but the only one I took. It was sad saying goodbye to Laura, as we probably won't see her now for the best part of a year, but we still have a couple more days with Jen in Geneva, and then I'm looking forward to (hopefully soon) moving into our rental house and settling into our new life in France for the next few years. We had an uneventful drive up to the airport in Skopje, and a smooth check-in. We were disappointed with the Sixt rental car desk, which was unmanned, both before and after our check-in, so we just had to leave the keys on the desk and hope for the best! We had a good flight and reasonable drive down to Geneva, given that it was by now late afternoon. Unfortunately our "nav" insisted on taking us through the center of Geneva, and Roger realized too late, so we had a slow crawl through Geneva to Magali's apartment. While we were gone in Macedonia, Magali's new IKEA sleeper sofa had arrived, so the three of us are now able to stay with Magali for the next three nights!
