Foody Friday
I did my big Tesco shop, getting lots of good fruit and vegetables for me… and Whiskas for herself. Then it was time to meet a friend for lunch - down the steps to the river and along a bit to the cafe at Paintworks. It’s recently changed hands from the people who set it up, to a big chain. I don’t think it’s quite as nice, but lunch was ok, and we had a good heart to heart. She still has a very challenging job, despite being 65, and having a mum who is both wonderful and a worry.
I came home through the cemetery up the gentle slope, rather than up the 158 steps. And got my blip. Lots of rosebay willow herb. And some quite unusual clouds.
Spent some of the afternoon processing blackcurrants into a kind of purée to freeze. Absolutely delicious. And plenty more to be picked. And for tea I had courgettes I had grown, cooked in butter:-))
