Templars Firs (Friday 4th July 2025)
I bought Friday fish and chips in Calne, but drove to eat them by the canal in Royal Wootton Bassett. I'm pleased to say they were still hot after the twenty minute drive, and the Blip shows the view from the bench seat where I ate them.
I walked up the canal to the second footbridge (see Extra) photographing mainly wildflowers, as there was a distinct lack of swans or herons; in fact I only saw one juvenile moorhen and some pigeons. There were several patches of water-lilies (see second Extra) along the canal.

Jimmy Dee and The Offbeats - Henrietta (1957)
This was the first record ever bought by a 16-yeaqr old Bob Dylan. The original 45rpm single was issued in 1957 on TNT, then on Dot by Jimmy Dee and The Offbeats from San Antonio TX. I reheard it on this day on Finbarr Rock'n'Roll Party Vol. 4.
