Who knew?
I did not know that one could get a prescription to NOT take a drug and that it had to be taken to the pharmacist who would not believe me if I just told him. Sort of a Stop Order on a dosage amount or a cancellation of a prescription? I have taken meds for decades and have never run into this. Perhaps it means that the general population has lost its moral highroad and is now quite willing to lie to a pharmacist? Geez..Like, who would have thought? Whatever,I did as requested and now the pharmacist is reassured that I really do not need that drug anymore!
All this is because - applause here - my doctor, on the basis of my list of BP readings since the last decrease in meds, has decreed that I am now able to stop taking one of my remaining pills... which is bringing me back to where I started! I am now back on the same meds I had been taking before my accident. Whew! It has been along haul. Now my fingers are crossed that this will work. I still need to take daily reading for the next 3 weeks to be sure that nothing drastic has happened because of this change.
Also, the doctor has referred me back to my cardiologist who a couple of years ago, dismissed me, as I was doing just fine thank-you-very much. So, that is my medical news - just in case anyone is interested!
(You know you're old when you talk about your health problems with friends and they are actually interested! )
And then? More news! I picked up my new hearing aids this afternoon! Let the adventure begin!
So, my outings today - as exciting as they were - were to the doctor, to the pharmacist and to the hearing aid office! Some days are so fun-filled!
