Raining Again (Oh No)

This is not normal.

Much cooler today, and if/when it finally stops raining I'll get out and weed the garden, which sorely needs it, prune the tomatoes, thin the carrots, all those little jobs... too wet to weed whack it though.

Later....

Well it didn't rain all day, the garden work got done and best of all, the Tree Swallows finally fledged. I didn't see it happen, but I did see the parent birds checking the bird house to make sure there was no-one left inside. Then one of them made a quick sweep of the yard and they were gone. For good. No long goodbyes with Tree Swallows, they are off to find some swampy wetland somewhere (although our yard currently fits that description) to spend the rest of the summer in carefree abandon. I'll miss them. They won't miss me.
