And it gets worse
for poor Johnny....
I had a fun time in Centennial yesterday. I went to a potluck in a beautiful area. A short but stout thunderstorm rolled through which gave some good dampening before the fireworks.
I parked along the highway as the cars were lined up out of Centennial and then Mom came to meet me. We had good seats next to our car on the prairie side. It was quite chilly and we work several layers, a hat and had a lap blanket. Summer in the mountains. (My extra as we were waiting for the fireworks to begin). It was wild and crazy as usual. There are the fireworks in town but many people bring their own and set them off along the side of the road or right in the middle of the road. We left before most of the other people.
Today has been quiet. I was going to get up for a hike but got busy pruning things and lost my window of time. Then a thunderstorm came through and dropped almost a quarter inch of rain and some hail. It was very welcome (not the hail, but nothing was really damaged.) I had a nice nap while it was raining and that was just about perfect.
