Busy and Fun Day!

After our marvelous dinner last night I slept so soundly! I had invited Dick and my sister (the one who lives in Mexico much of the year) over for lunch so they could meet. We're planning on going to visit her in Mexico early next week...but that wouldn't work unless they liked each other ;-)

So I made a big Greek salad and grilled some chicken. We sat in my courtyard and talked and talked...mostly travel and careers and backgrounds. My sister didn't make any snarky remarks about me growing up, thank goodness! We had fun, and when Dick left Em and I played a game of cribbage. I won by a hair!

This lovely zinnia is glowing in the early evening sun in my courtyard. I think that I'm finally caught up with my back blips. It's been an oddly busy week that got away from me!
