Gratitude dialled up to 11

Woke up to a lazy morning after the night before cocktails - they do make them strong over here!
Headphones in, catching up on the podcast backlog. Paul watched F1 qualifying

Wandered down to the bakery to pick up bread for lunch. TLT sandos (Tempeh, Lettuce and Tomato sandwich)
Didn't bother with the pool again today, way too busy, planned dinner instead.

Settled on Baomerange – Uber wasn’t playing ball so we used Bolt. Worked like a charm, though I suspect Bolt drivers like Uber drivers all did the same crash course in Formula 1 cornering... or maybe that's just the portugese?

Food was brilliant again. Paul always fancies something sweet, so dessert was a must. As usual, over-ordered starters, the portions were huge, so ended up getting the bao buns boxed up to take away. Eyes bigger than our bellies as usual.

Best bit? When the dessert menu betrayed us (no more viramisu, replaced by their summer offer,  Mango Pudding) I was disappointed but we ordered one anyway it was light and delicious we also aimed for the Snickers bar … only to be told it had just gone to the table next door.
BUT—plot twist—they overheard we were visiting from England and insisted we take theirs since they could come back anytime. Actual kindness, so lovely! We devoured it, again chocolate deliciousness! So good and so kind of them we paid for their desserts as a thank-you.

Headed to the bridge to watch the sunset, missed it again but joined the crowds to watch the lights over the river come on...Honestly, had one of those "wow, we're really lucky" moments. I do appreciate my life.

Bolt home was in a Tesla Model 3. Very sleek, very silent, very look at me being all futuristic. Fun ride, but we won't be rushing out to buy one anyway day soon.

A very good day!
