Small Tortoiseshell

THURSDAY

Another sunny and hot day, and I spent several hours out in the garden. The lavender was buzzing with bees, butterflies and other insects.
 
Early evening, I headed off to Old Colwyn for our 'away' bowls match. 

We had six winners out of ten and picked up another two points for the aggregate score. 

After a poor start, my game was tied at 8–8, but I managed to step up a gear and scored 13 straight points to win 21–8.
