Saved by the Shrubbery
Nice day today, but despite the pleasant mix of sun and cloud supplying a variation of light, the wind was not playing fair. Every time I found something that would make a nice Blip, along came the wind to ruin it.
Sure 1/4000th second shutter speed SHOULD fix it, but when you're using an old manual focus lens and the blasted subject won't stop still long enough for you to nail the focus... well, let's say I may have whispered some choice words from time to time.
I got some shots. And they were alright too. But they were all... too much like what I've already Blipped, or shared elsewhere, recently.
Then, on my way home I remembered this bush thing! It has beautiful little flowers and it doesn't move much in the wind! Score!
Sunday Blip saved!
Of course, I've taken pictures of this plant and its gorgeous wee blooms hundreds of times too. But I've not shared them or Blipped them recently, so I was saved.
It was either that or take photos of my Mamiya C3 at home. I'm hoping it will sell soon on the ol' Bay of E, so maybe I should share some shots of that before it's too late.
EXTRA: a buddleja/buddleia that behaved long enough for a shot
