How Did That Get Up There?

I've taken various shots of these wee fellas (there are a lot of them, some big, some very small) many times.

They're part of a sculpture that adorns the front of a premises on Sun Street in Lancaster. The odd thing is they seem striking to me and have done since they were first unveiled in the 80s, yet so many people walk past and seem not to even notice. 

I've put all kinds of thoughts in their heads, from praise the lord to what are you looking at? But this nearest fella seems to be interested in whatever he sees up there, in a very confuses sort of way.

He's got some brass though. In fact he's all brass.

This already isn't the first time I've Blipped a part of the sculpture (despite me moaning that I didn't want to repeat myself in the distant past of yesterday) and it won't be the last.
