Wacky Races
I got the word from Bom that there was a vintage car rally starting in Blakeney this morning so went over for a look. Apparently the cars were supposed to be going in batches of four or five cars at a time but I reckon that organising vintage car owners is a bit like trying to herd cats so they seemed to be setting off as the moment took them.
This group did set off together so made a nice shot which would probably have suited a 'retro' look, but I liked the colours. At the front is a Riley; I couldn't find much out about that. Behind is a 1950 Ford V8 Tourer "Dagenham Belle", and bringing up the rear is a 1930 Alvis 12/50 TJ Tourer.
After weeks of good weather we had a storm warning for heavy rain and thunderstorms today which was a shame for the drivers on the rally. As it turned out, we did have rain and quite heavy, but it passed over so hopefully the drivers had a good day.
