A Little Bonus
I went out to photograph the lavender this morning while there was a bit of sun.
My intention was to get a couple of comparison shots between the light and dark plants.
I ended up chasing bees for a few minutes.
There are 3 more shots here.
SWMBO and I then had a walk up to the shops to get some carrots.
When we got back and there was still a splash of sun I cut the big ivy hedge ... well. one side of it.
By the time I had done that and filled the garden waste bin (those things actually hold a lot!) my back and thighs were screaming so I thought I would sharpen the hedge-trimmer. Unfortunately I don't know where I tidied the small socket set away to so I couldn't actually take the blades off to sharpen them -- so that is a job for another day.
What I did instead was stand at the lathe and and stretch my back by making shavings until it was time for a coffee.
As I left the garage the heavens opened.
Normal service has been resumed!
The afternoon was spent watching the Grand Prix.
They had some interesting weather too.
It made for an interesting race.
Just a shame that once again the stewards showed their bias towards Max Verstappen. Even the very 'generous' and 'easy going, middle of the road' (so to speak) commentators were letting slip their feelings about things.
