Brazil!

After flying all night, I whizzed through customs and met Hilly in the ginormous Duty Free. Our trip leader had messaged us all last night to say there’s been a mix up with the hotel reservations so we caught a cab to a different hotel where it was, of course, way too early to check in. So we did what any good friends would do - we had a great visit and got caught up on each other’s lives. By the time our 2 traveling companions had arrived at 2, the rooms were ready so we all checked in. First order of business for me was a nap and a shower. Both needed. We will all meet up in a few hours for dinner.

We are waiting to hear from our tour leader about plans for tomorrow. It seems that there has been some sort of snafu with his ground operator here in Brazil so I’ve no idea how that might affect our itinerary. But hopefully we will be off to someplace fabulous tomorrow.
