Sally Mair - Loving life

This is Cleo's pad of choice at the moment. It has a cushion inside so it's good and comfy. When she's asleep inside, her colouring makes her practically invisible with just a passing glance. She's had this box since March and is showing no signs of moving on to one of the luxury cat beds I've bought her over the years. Typical. I keep threatening to parcel her up and send her somewhere. She doesn't care!
When I open the door in the morning her wee head pops up through the opening and makes me smile.
It's been a mixed day weather wise with showers off and on but I did get some washing dry between them. The big girls are off on holiday to Euro Camp near Amsterdam, I'll miss them.

Church this morning. Things are hotting up as we prepare for our first goodbye in this case to to our shared curate in just three weeks. He is going off on planned paternity leave in time for the birth of their twins - a busy time ahead as they have a 3 year old already .
We had a baptism this morning, so some new faces in church. I was reading today. It was a singularly awkward reading referencing bosoms, breast feeding and circumcision - I guess the former were of relevance to the mum and her three month old daughter who were the stars of the show! I do wonder what visitors hear when such readings come up, lol. Some good hymns though so I enjoyed that.

Back home, after lunch I did some clearing in the kitchen but didn't get round to finishing off the blackcurrant jelly, that can be tomorrow's job. I did manage to get hold of some jam jars though so that will make things a little easier.
This evening we watched the third episode of A Good Girls Guide to Murder - I want to hide behind a cushion every so often as I wait for her to be caught! Rather enjoying it.
