Migraine at 3 ( I was checking where Tom was - he'd left the pub but hadn't made it home) so it was 8 before I launched into OT - 2.5 hours of tedium with tea.
Alex finally surfaced; and after a 45 minute debrief from Sooth Ronaldsay (the folks are heading back on Wednesday apparently) I headed out for supplies and set about a hearty lunch as I knew I'd be out for dinner. Brisket was cooked til it was just about falling apart in a thick dark gravy and dollops of mash. But the one who needed it most was still AWOL - KFC proved a stronger lure than his old da's home cooking. Tch...
Some sleep, some TdF, some reading (A Flat Place by Noreen Masud; it's got many examples that verbalise what I often hear from Her; so I need to finish it and pass it on and see which bits we both settle on.)
Much later than anticpated, I headed to Her; Tom having arrived home and having eaten again, promptly fell asleep. Nae stamina!
To Her's; for a brief catch up and then onto see Helpix's lass at the Labyrinth?
And as we strode up who should be outside but the performer's proud mother! After years of threatening to meet up - voila! And a bonus of MinX too! BOGOF blipmeets, eh?
Hemmed in by the show start time, we managed a quick canter through the most pressing of questions before a riotous hour of EDM and quips.
Sadly not much chance of a post show natter, I chummed Her home before a zip down Broughton St and home; to find out Tom had recovered enough to head on out with his mates to S Queensferry. Ach well, he's not working until 2. And finally a chance to break into the birthday Kilkerran.
Main is the proud mother; extra is the performer
