Another slow start; 3 teas, another chunk of A Flat Place and some fannying about with the Volca Keys before mundanity resumed in the form of dishes and laundry.
With Tom safely off to work, Alex and I set about covering the 17 miles to Broxburn on the bikes. A pre season friendly at Albyn Park for Stirling. We used the Roseburn Path ( nice and shady) then followed the Water of Leith to Murrayfield and then the tram line westward to Hermiston Gait. Liquid and sugar/ glucose were taken on board before the majority of the remainder of the journey was on the canal tow path.
Into Broxburn and onto Uphall for pies at Lawsons ( that's lunch for Wednesday sorted) before Aldo's chippy provided haute cuisine for dinner.
Then onto the match; turns out it's more or less our reserve team so inevitably we lose 4-1. Although we did hit the woodwork 3 times, so on another day....
A quick sprint after the match to get the 2151 from Uphall to Haymarket; bikes back down the Roseburn path ( via Tesco for milk) and 41 minutes from Uphall we were in.
Tom phones to say he'd just left work, so to expect him at midnight.
All that remained was to fire up ITVX for the TdF highlights.
