twinned with trumpton

By MrFT

A fairly typical of this week kinda morning; tea, reading, fannying about with synthesisers. With the added bonus of the dog in tow, too. Although he was mostly content to sleep in the heat except when called upon to answer the call of nature.

I spent the afternoon out; picking up my new camera battery. (Bus to Haddington Place; then walked back on the shady cycle paths to allow the pup the best opportunity to get a walk)

Wardie was rammed; I should've engaged Pensioner in a TTP - it was Friday after all!

Instead I got a roast on - with Tom working back shifts mostly, the opportunity for us eating together has diminished and so I'm trying to take the opportunity to dine as one wherever possible.

And off to the Leith Franklin Cricket Club to see Andrew Wasylyk perform. If I'd had a spare £150 I've have booked to see him support Air at North Berwick where they're performing the stellar Moon Safari, but the more attainable £15 for Leith in a sweaty sauna of a venue was snapped up instead.

She met me at the foot of Easter Road and we strolled across Leith Links sipping a cold beer (me)

A most enjoyable set; always a joy to see how 6 folk can conjure up such gorgeous music; captivating so it is. A summer soundtrack to cherish.

Although I must confess it was pleasant to cycle home in the cool of the evening; the last sunbeams having long since gone to be replaced by a warm glow somewhere over Aberdour.
